Julio J. “Joe” Santinelli, 82, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died June 29, 2011 at Crestwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Milford. He was born in Glencoe, OH on December 11, 1928, a son of Pietro and Geovanina (Luzzi) Santinelli. Mr. Santinelli had been employed as a machinist for O.K. Tool Company for 35 years. He enjoyed playing softball, horse shoes, gardening, bowling and taking long walks. Mr. Santinelli was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1961 with the rank of Corporal. In addition, he was a 55 year member of Ricciardi Hartshorn Post #23, American Legion and a communicant of St. Patrick Church, Milford. A loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, he truly enjoyed spending time with his family. Family members include his wife of 54 years, Anne (Gillespie) Santinelli a son, Steven Santinelli; a grandson, Tyler Santinelli; and a sister, Mary Ireland, all of Milford; many nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 5th at 11:00 am in St. Patrick Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford, with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Share Outreach, Inc., 1 Columbus Avenue, Milford, NH 03055.
