Judith Ellen (Fournier) Munro was born in Waterville, Maine, and spent her early years on a farm in East Vassalboro, Maine. She was the 3rd of six daughters born to Royal and Pauline Fournier on January 29, 1942. At the age of 80, God called her home on May 10, 2022. In her early teens, the family moved to Natick, Massachusetts, where she graduated from Natick High School as a member of the class of 1961. Judith was predeceased by her parents, Royal and Pauline Fournier, and four sisters, Charlotte, who died shortly after childbirth, Carole Duffey, Janet DiGirolamo, and Joan "Maxine" Fresh. Family, Faith, and Love wasn't merely a sign that hung on Judy's wall in her home. It was her way of life. After retirement from the Manchester City Solicitor's office, Judy moved to Milford to be closer to her daughters and their families. She grew to love Milford and all it had to offer its residents. She could often be found at the Farmers Market, Margarita Wednesdays at Amigos Mexican Cantina with her daughters, followed by band concerts at the Oval and was a regular attendee at Milford's parades and festivals. By the way, Judy felt strongly that everyone in Milford should vote to support all these Milford events financially. In her words, "these events make Milford special, create memories for families, and make a difference in lives." While not politically active most of her life, she grew very strong opinions later in life and didn't miss a local election. She volunteered for several organizations, including the Suburbanettes Drum & Bugle Corps, and her last venture was serving a term as President of the Milford Area Seniors. Before the pandemic and her illness, she was also an active member of the Church of Our Savior in Milford. She is survived by her sister Sharon and her husband Joseph Girard of the Villages, FL and East Kingston, NH and her daughters Jill and her husband Paul Gaudrault of North Charleston, SC, Jennifer Morales and her partner Mike Holley of West Townsend, MA, and her daughter Jordana McGuire and her partner Jonah Gebhart of Milford. Grammy Judy sure did earn her name. She had seven grandchildren by blood, Jason Durivage and his wife Whitney, Brian Harris and his wife, Jessica, Nicole Tetrault and her husband Ryan, A.J. Harris and his wife Samantha, Emily Morales and her partner Noel, James and Wil McGuire, and three more by love and marriage Matthew Gaudrault and his wife Emily, Paul Gaudrault and his partner Haley, and Kristopher Gaudrault. Blood or marriage, she loved them all. Did someone say, great-grandchildren? She had 7 of them! Zoribel, Grace, Cora, Olivia, Cassidy, Opal, Hadley, and three more will be "named at a later date" in June, August, and September 2022. Judy enjoyed a large extended family. In fact, if we listed cousins, nieces, nephews, or those family friends so close we call them "Aunties and Uncles," this obituary would soon turn into a novel. Let's just say she was loved by many and loved her family fiercely. Summer get-togethers in Maine for cousins' weekend, baking goodies for her family, creating crafts, playing cribbage with family and friends, or simply just spending time watching movies or playing any and all board games with her grandchildren were a source of absolute joy for Judy. Judy…We sure are going to miss you! I am sure you didn't realize that you have impacted so many in such amazing ways. We are grateful we had the opportunity to love you. You will live on within us. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, May 18, from 5pm to 7 pm at the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. On Thursday, May 19, her funeral will be held at 10:30 am at the Church of Our Savior, 10 Amherst St, Milford, NH 03055. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Donations in Judith's name are appreciated to either Milford Area Seniors, PO Box 981, Milford, NH 03055, or The Friends of the Wadleigh Memorial Library, 49 Nashua St, Milford, NH 03055.
