Josephine Wright

Josephine “Tootie” Wright, 96, lifelong resident of Milford, NH died on January 22, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Jaffrey, NH. She was born in Milford on April 6, 1919, a daughter of Augustus and Delotea (Di Bartolomao) Comolli. Tootie had been employed as a clerk at McCrory’s Five and Dime in Milford for many years and had previously worked for the Milford School lunch program and Abbot Worsted Mills in Wilton. She enjoyed playing cards, working on crossword puzzles and going to yard sales with friends. Tootie was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence “Ripper” Wright who died in 1997 and their infant son, Stephen G. Wright. Family members include her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Bob Gage of Shirley, MA; a granddaughter, Robin Turilli and her husband, Lt. Raymond Jr. of Jaffrey, NH; two great grandsons, Stephen Turilli and Nicholas Turilli, both of Jaffrey, NH, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are private. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Jaffrey Firefighters Company, Inc., 138 Turnpike Road, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
