Joseph Y. Covell

Joseph Y. Covell, 86, resident of Milford, NH, died on March 17, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Colebrook, NH on September 5, 1935, a son of Melvin and Pearl (Hazard) Covell. Joe was raised and educated in Colebrook. He made his home in Milford for more than 56 years. In his earlier years, he was a farmer and later spent many years as a carpenter, building and remodeling residential homes. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his getting together for morning coffee with his buddies. Family members include his loving wife of 67 years, Ruth (Summers) Covell of Milford, NH; daughters and son in law, Valerie and John Yule of Milford, NH, and Pamela Alexander of Wiscasset, ME; a son, Charles J. Covell of Milford, NH; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A visiting hour will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd from 10:00-11:00 am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford, NH.
