Joseph M. Staiti

Joseph M. Staiti, 94, resident of Amherst, NH, died May 22, 2010 at Crestwood Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Milford, NH. He was born in Barre, MA on September 10, 1915, a son of the late Letterio and Maria Staiti. Mr. Staiti resided in Amherst for the past 17 years and formerly lived in Milford for many years. He had been employed as a machinist for O.K. Tool Company in Milford for more than 30 years. Mr. Staiti enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Milford and a member of Milford Council Knights of Columbus #3035. Mr. Staiti was predeceased by his loving wife of 69 years, Dorothy A. (Durand) Staiti who died in 2009. Family members include four sons and daughters-in-law, George J.L. and Helen Staiti of Amherst, NH, John M. Staiti, Thomas P. and Sandra Staiti, Arthur P. and Donna Staiti, all of Milford, NH; two daughters and a son-in-law, Alice D. Despres of Milford, NH, Irene C. and Dennis Wheeler of Amherst, NH; many grandchildren; great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; several nephews and cousins. There are no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 26th at 10:30 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford.
