John T. Caulfield, Jr., 94, resident of Bedford, NH, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2022 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. He was born on December 25, 1927, the son of John T. Caulfield, Sr. and Kathryn (Lyons) Caulfield. John was raised and educated in Brookline, MA, and graduated from Brookline High School. Upon graduation he enlisted in the US Army, and proudly served his country during World War II. After his time in the Pacific, he returned home, and received his bachelor’s degree from Boston University, Boston, MA. He had been employed as a manager of the legal department of New England Telephone Company for many years. John (or Jack as he was known by to most) was a great provider and a kind man with a generous heart. He enjoyed playing golf and poker, bowling, days at the beach or down the Cape, but most especially spending time with his loving family. An avid sports fan, he had a great sense of humor, loved a good prank, and always had a story from the past or current events handy to share. Family members include his wife of 64 years, Anne M. (O’Connor) Caulfield of Bedford, NH; his children; Lisa Caulfield of Nashua, NH, Gail Caulfield and Steve Davis of Bedford, NH, John and Mary Caulfield of Durham, NH; Leslie and A.J. Roberto of Bedford, NH; eight grandchildren, Thomas, Neville, Jay, Parker, Owen, Dalton, Tucker and Jessica; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his four-footed companion Coco. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, August 17th at 10:00am in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Road, Bedford, NH. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Community Hospice House, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH, 03054.
