John P. Knutsen

John P. Knutsen, 97, resident of Warde Health Center, Windham, NH, formerly of Amherst, NH, died on January 2, 2015 at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. He was born in New York, NY on April 27, 1917, a son of John and Mary (Mayer) Knutsen. Mr. Knutsen had worked as a clerk on Wall Street for 48 years having been employed by Carl Marks & Company. He had various interests and especially loved all genres of music. He was predeceased by his wife, Anneliese J. (Jacob) Knutsen, who died in 1996. Family members include two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Michael Lenaghan of Amherst, NH, Joan and Hugh Jarvis of Decatur, AL; five grandchildren, Susan, Robert, Elizabeth, Timothy and Anneliese. A private memorial service will be held in the spring.
