John M. Mcentee

John M. McEntee, 66, of Morrisville, VT died on July 15, 2013 at Copley Hospital in Morrisville, VT. He was born on February 2, 1947 in Goffstown, NH, a son of the late Eileen (Byrne) McEntee and John T. McEntee. John was raised in Milford, NH and graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1966. He attended Keene State College and graduated from Boston School of Museum of Fine Arts in 1984. John was an accomplished artist winning several art awards and selling many of his wonderful paintings. He lived for years in the Boston area and on Cape Cod before settling in Vermont in 2000. He worked as a writer for the Cape Cod Guide and while living in Stowe, VT he worked for the Stowe Mountain Resort for two years. John loved painting, gardening, cooking and his dogs, including his Afgan Hounds that he bred and raised. He was a very strong and optimistic person, showing love, respect and understanding to all, especially his family and friends. He loved to read and loved discussing books and current events with everyone. John was a loving son, father, partner, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Family members include his partner of 38 years, Joel Bilodeau of Wolcott, VT; his daughter, Amy E. McEntee of Pembroke, NH; three brothers, Malcolm C. McEntee, Joseph M. McEntee and Patrick T. McEntee, all of Milford, NH; four sisters, Maureen A. VonDette of Hillsborough, NH, Sheila M. Fraser and Mary E. Johnson, both of Milford, NH and Ellen M. Pratt of Wilton, NH; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Memorial visiting hours are on Tuesday, July 23rd from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Amherst.
