John J. Faulkner, 60, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died at his home on Sunday, April 20, 2025, after a sudden illness.
He was born on August 1, 1964, in Saugus, MA, a son of Rose Mary (L’Abbe) Faulkner and the late Robert J. Faulkner.
John was raised and educated on the North Shore. He graduated from the North Shore Vocational Technical High School in 1983.
He married Mary (Walters) and together have made their home here in Milford for many years. John worked for the NH DOT for over twenty-three years and most recently as Foreman for District 5, State 510 Shed in Milford. He was very proud of the work he and his men did to keep the roadways safe.
John enjoyed time spent golfing, traveling, boating, hunting, fishing, archery, supporting first responder groups and new England sports, especially the Bruins.
In addition to his father, Robert, John was predeceased by his twin sibling, Dana and his son, Derek Lankowski.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Faulkner of Milford, NH, his mother, Rose Mary Faulkner of Danvers, MA, sister, Bonnie Goddard of Leominster, MA, brother Robert Faulkner of Beverly, MA, his son, Dana Connell of MA, Daughter, Danielle and her husband Jacob Sherman of Milford, NH, daughter-in-law, Melissa Lankowski also of Milford, NH, grandson, Elijah Sherman of Milford, NH and many close friends.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the Souhegan Valley Christian Church, 134 Hollis Road, Amherst, NH. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gary Williams officiating. All are invited to meet directly at the church. Following cremation, the burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in memory of John be made to either the ALS Foundation, NH Fallen Firefighters Memorial or the NH Department of Public Works Employee Memorial Fund.
