John E. "Jack" Langridge

John E. “Jack” Langridge, 65, resident of Bedford, NH, died Sunday, October 30, 2011, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Englewood, New Jersey on November 15, 1945, a son of Milton and Gladys (Gibbons) Langridge. Jack was raised and educated in New Jersey and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, NJ. He made his home in Bedford for the past 25 years. He was employed by New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc., Peterborough, NH, as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He recently retired after 39 years of employment. Jack was an active member of the Manchester HOG Group, Southern New Hampshire Snow Slickers Club and the Pointer Fish and Game Club of Bedford. In addition, he enjoyed volunteering at the Spaulding Youth Center. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, boating and riding his Harley. He was a Vietnam Era veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. Jack was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather. Family members include his wife of 33 years, Ellen M. (Harsch) Langridge of Bedford, NH; a son, Ryan W. Langridge of Manchester, NH; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathryn T. Langridge of Manchester, NH, Nicole L. and Gary Sayre of Pauline, SC, Tara J. and Christopher Hermans of Piedmont, SC; four grandchildren, Catherine R. Sayre, Lily G. Sayre, Garrett Sayre and Alex Hermans. Memorial visiting hours are Thursday, November 3rd, from 4:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D.W. Highway, Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 or online at www.pancan.org
