John D. Jackson

John D. Jackson, M.D., 59, resident of Amherst, NH died suddenly on June 19, 2013. He was born in Mobile, AL on May 14 1954, a son of Mary Louise (Miles) Jackson of Georgia and the late Leo Jackson. John was a graduate of the University of Maine, Orono and the University of Southern Alabama Medical School, Class of 1988. He served his internship and residency in Maine and for the last several years, he was employed at the V.A. Medical Center, Manchester, NH. In addition to his mother, family members include his loving wife, Rosemary (Haugh) Jackson of Amherst, NH; four children, Elizabeth & Anthony Rodrigues of NJ, William Jackson of NH, Laura Jackson of Boston, MA and Robert Jackson of VT; three stepchildren, Thomas, Christopher and Heather Sculley, all of Amherst, NH; three brothers and three sisters. Calling hours are on Monday, June 24th from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Amherst, NH.
