John C. O'Donnell

John C. “Jack” O’Donnell, 66, resident of Brookline, NH, died June 1, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH. He was born in Swoyersville, PA on February 29, 1944, a son of the late William and Jennie (Reynolds) O’Donnell. Mr. O’Donnell was raised and educated in Bucks County, PA and graduated from Bishop Egan High School, Levittown, PA. For a number of years, he managed several softball teams in Bristol, PA. He resided in Brookline, NH for the past five years and formerly made his home in Merrimack for more than 20 years. Mr. O’Donnell had been employed as a sales manager for Verizon Wireless, Manchester, NH and had previously worked for Digital Compaq HP in Littleton, MA. He was a history buff, a great storyteller and enjoyed tinkering and building things. In addition, he also enjoyed his weekly jaunt to the local dump. Mr. O’Donnell loved people and was always willing to help however he could. He most especially loved spending time with his family. Mr. O’Donnell was a Vietnam Era Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather. Family members include his wife of 39 years, Theresa A. (Breig) O’Donnell of Brookline, NH; two sons, Sean P. O’Donnell of Sarasota, FL and Ryan M. O’Donnell of Brookline, NH; two daughters, Kelli-Ann T. O’Donnell of Manchester, NH and Meghan C. O’Donnell of Brookline, NH; three grandchildren, Mackenzie O’Donnell, Mia Grasso and Alize Gonzalez; a brother, William O’Donnell of Albany, NH; many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are Monday, June 7th from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Lung Association of New Hampshire, 20 Warren Street, Suite 4, Concord, NH 03301.
