John C. Levey

John C. “Jack” Levey, 93, resident of Milford, NH, died August 26, 2010 at Crestwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Milford. He was born in Toledo, OH, on May 31, 1917, a son of the late Robert and Claire (Brown) Levey. Jack resided in Milford for the past 8 years and for most of his life made Albany, NY his home. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees. He had been employed in sales for Graves & Rodger Liquor Company, Albany, NY for more than 35 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during World War II. While living in Milford, he was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church. Jack was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather. Family members include his wife of 58 years, Margaret M. (Haggerty) Levey of Amherst, NH; a son, John C. Levey, Jr. and his wife, Mary Lou of Colleyville, TX; two daughters, Anne McNallen and her husband, Patrick of Amherst, NH, Susan Levey of Princeton, NJ; and seven grandchildren. There are no calling hours. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 9th at 9:30 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH. A graveside service and celebration of Jack’s life with be held in Albany, NY, this fall. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Share Outreach Inc., 1 Columbus Avenue, Milford, NH 03055.
