Jeannette M. Bragdon

Jeannette M. Bragdon, 74, resident of Rochester, NH, died October 5, 2009 at Colonial Hill Care & Rehabilitation Center, Rochester, NH. She was born in Antrim, NH on July 1, 1935, a daughter of the late Eugene Sylvester & Dora (VanderHeyden) Sylvester DeFoe. She was raised and educated in Milford having graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1953. Following her graduation from St. Joseph�s Hospital School of Nursing, she was employed as a Registered Nurse at Hanover Hill Healthcare. Prior to moving to Rochester in 2006, she had been a resident of Amherst, NH for more than 40 years. Mrs. Bragdon enjoyed crocheting, reading, country music and dancing. In addition, she was a member of the First Baptist Church, Milford. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard N. Bragdon, who died in 1999. Family members include three daughters, Nancy Kierstead of Rochester, NH, Betsey Noble of Richmond, ME and Wendy Longmoore of Newbury, VT; a son, William Bragdon of East Corinth, VT; five grandchildren; a brother, Richard Sylvester of Bedford, NH; a stepbrother, George DeFoe of Garland, TX; several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are Saturday, October 10th from 10:00am - 12:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Meadowview Cemetery, Amherst, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph Home & Hospice Care, 24 North River Road, Milford, NH 03055.
