Janet V. O'Connell

Janet V. OConnell, 78, resident of Milford, NH, died June 5, 2008 at her home. She was born in Everett, MA on September 14, 1929, the youngest of 11 children to Joseph & Malvina (Kuhara) Romanowicz.� Mrs. OConnell graduated from Boston City Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1950.� She volunteered as a nurse throughout her husbands naval career and had also worked at St. Josephs Hospital, Nashua, NH for 10 years.� Mrs. OConnell made her home in Milford since 1972.� She was a loving wife and a devoted mother.� Family members include her husband of 54 years, John D. OConnell of Milford, NH; a daughter, Kathleen OConnell and her husband, Peter Goldsmith of New York, NY; three sisters, Helen Lovely and Estelle Bentley, both of Florida, Frances Alongi of California; many nieces and nephews.� Calling hours are Tuesday, June 10th from 5-8 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:30 am in St. Patricks Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford.� Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.� In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Care Net Pregnancy Center, 110 Main Street, Nashua, NH� 03060.�
