Jane Hunt

Jane Hunt, 82, passed away on March 13th, 2017 at Villa Crest Nursing and Retirement Center in Manchester, NH. She was born on December 28th, 1934 in Cohasset, MA to Charles Lincoln and Hilda Goldthwaite. Jane was raised and educated in Cohasset and at the age of 14 she moved to Stockbridge, Vermont. She graduated from Whitcomb High School in Bethel, VT. Following high school, she attended Mary Fletcher School of Nursing where she received her degree as a registered nurse. Jane married Keith Hunt in 1955 in Stockbridge, VT. They were happily married for 59 years until his death in 2014. She was an active and beloved member of the Congregational Church of Amherst, UCC, where she served as the president of the Women’s Association for several years. She enjoyed donating her time, cooking and doing crafts. Jane is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Linda Hunt of New Boston, Kevin and Donna Hunt of Hollis, Brian and Brenda Hunt of Parker, Colo.; three grandchildren, Bethany, Keith and Peter Hunt; her brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Rosemary Lincoln of Dover, NH; and many nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on March 25th at 9:00 AM in the Congregational Church of Amherst, 11 Church St., Amherst. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Stockbridge, VT at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund of the Congregational Church of Amherst, UCC; 11 Church Street, Amherst, NH 03031.
