Jane A. Pratt

Jane A. Pratt, 67, of Milford died on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, after a 6-year battle with cancer. Jane was born on November 8, 1948 to the late Harold C. and Mary (Crisafulli) Pratt. She was a lifelong resident of Milford, NH and vacationed every summer at Hampton Beach. Jane graduated from Milford High School and attended Rivier College where she received an associate’s degree in business. She worked at Sanders (BAE) as an administrative assistant for 20 years and then went on to work in Milford Public Schools for 27 years. In addition to working, Jane decorated cakes with her mother, Mary, and her sister, Elaine, for 40 years. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, where she was involved in many aspects of the parish community, including the youth group, Parish Council, and Christmas Craft Fair. She enjoyed crafting, baking, and watching her cooking shows on PBS. At Heron Pond Elementary School, Jane was instrumental in starting the Honor Flight NE Program. Over the past 5 years, she helped raise money to send WWII veterans to see the memorial in Washington, D.C. Jane is survived by her sister, Elaine Pratt, and her uncle, Sebastiano (Buddy) Crisafulli, as well as generations of cousins. Calling hours will be held at the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford on Wednesday, May 25th from 3-7 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford on Thursday, May 26th at 10 am. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Nashua St, Milford.
