James P. Coffin

2010 at Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine. He was born in Portland on May 13, 1937, a son of the late Albert and Irma (Randall) Coffin. He was raised and educated in Freeport, Maine where he had lived for most of his life later moving to Wilton, NH in 1984. He began his 46 years of railroad service with the Maine Central Railroad retiring as Vice President of Guilford Transportation and Pan Am Services in 2003. Family members include his wife of 33 years, Susan L. (Elliott) Coffin of Wilton, NH; a daughter, Lindsay Mayes and her husband, Brett of Wilton; two sons, Kevin Coffin of Wilton, Walter Coffin and his wife, Debby of Freeport, ME; a brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Sharon Coffin of Freeport, ME. There are no visiting hours. A family memorial service will be held at Grove Cemetery, Freeport, ME, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jimmy’s name may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
