James L. Daigle, 84, resident of New Ipswich, NH died March 21, 2022 at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH. A resident of New Ipswich, NH for the past several years, James made his home in Wilmington, VT for 16 years and spent most of his life in Caribou, Maine. He was born in Frenchville, Maine on July 25, 1937, the son of Norman and Priscilla (Bourgoin) Daigle. He graduated from the University of Maine Orono and earned a Master’s Degree in Mathematics from Boston College. He taught high school math in Limestone and Caribou Maine. Jim retired after thirty years as an educator in 1986 to enjoy golfing, running, cross country and downhill skiing and loved solving challenging math problems. After relocating in Wilmington, Vermont, Jim started teaching at Mount Snow (Olympians Hopefuls) and enjoyed his afternoons downhill skiing. He was pre-deceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Dolores M. (Michaud) Daigle, who died June 18, 2021. His family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Kathy Daigle of New Ipswich, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Dennis Coughlin of Broad Brook, CT; a sister, Sandra and David Snyder of Limerick, ME; and a niece, Kathryn Snyder of Scarborough, ME, and a great nephew, Parker Dow of Scarborough, ME.
