James "Eddy" Wells

James (Eddy) Edward Wells passed away on July 25, 2023. He was born in Sumter, South Carolina. Eddy lived in many different states and made New Hampshire his home for the last 26 years.

He is survived by those that loved him most. His loving wife Heather, his three daughters Lauren, Kacie, and Sydney, his grandson Bennett. Extended family including his son-in-law Joe, sister-in-law Molly, her husband Stephen and niece Piper, brother-in-law Aaron and niece Erin, his in-laws George and Jean, his sister Angie and husband Dallas and their children Jason, Jesse, Jeffrey, and Patrick, his brother Bob and wife Kathy, his sister Kim and husband Gregory and their children Bronwyn and Irene. He was predeceased by his mother Virginia Baker.

Eddy attended BYU for his undergraduate, then Syracuse University for his graduate program where he studied Electrical Engineering. Designing the highest excellence electronics was his greatest passion. He worked for Linear Technology, later becoming Analog Devices for 20 + years surrounded by some of his closest friends. He was the best “Pops” to his grandson and dad to his daughters, passing along a love of math, adventure, and all his quirky habits such as chopsticks for any and all foods, consolidation of trash in any situation, obsessive organization, “microbike” trips along the beach, embarrassing comments in public, and collecting scraps in big black trash bags on Christmas morning.

Those who knew him will never forget his classic “Eddy” face, which gave away when he was lying (or thinking he was funny), the way he researched every decision extensively, and was always the first one to volunteer to help someone who needed it.

His driving force was to take care of his family in all ways; he was the most dependable, reliable, and loving supporter. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten by his family and friends who love him so much.
