Hope N. Leishman

Hope N. Leishman, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died on July 8, 2012 at Ledgewood Bay Assisted Living Facility in Milford. She was born in Waltham, MA, on July 14, 1922, the daughter of Don and Hazel (Manley) Goodell. She was raised and educated in Waltham and graduated from Waltham High School, Class of 1940. Following graduation, she attended Emerson College and later worked for the War Department during World War II in Washington, DC. While living in Milford, Mrs. Leishman worked for Clarke Insurance Company, Hollis, NH. She loved to spend time gardening, antiquing and traveling, especially to Cape Cod. She was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth Hope Leishman in 1971. Family members include her husband of 71 years, Russell W. Leishman of Milford, NH; a son, Peter Leishman and his longtime companion, Cheryl Seifert of Peterborough, NH; a daughter and son-in-law; Deborah & Paul Courtemanche of Nashua, NH; four grandchildren, Alex Courtemanche, Zachary Courtemanche Jordan Leishman and Abby Leishman. Visiting hours are Thursday, July 12th from 6:00�"8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 13th at 10:00 am in the Church of Our Saviour, 10 Amherst Street, Milford, NH. Burial will follow in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham, MA.
