Henry J. �Hank� Syseskey, 68, resident of Milford, NH, died July 8, 2009 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH, surrounded by his family. He was born in Medford, MA on July 31, 1940, a son of the late Henry J. Syseskey, Sr. and Mary (Kenney) Syseskey. Mr. Syseskey resided in Milford for the past 6 years and formerly lived in Worcester, Sterling and West Boylston, MA. He had been employed as a postal clerk in Lancaster, MA for 30 years and retired in 1999. Mr. Syseskey volunteered at the Senior Center and the Eco-Tarium in Worcester, MA and for the Day Away Program at St. John Neumann Church. In addition, he was a foster grandparent. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling and summering in Kennebunk, Maine. He was a communicant of St. John Neumann Church, Merrimack, NH. Mr. Syseskey was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served in Germany during the Berlin Blockade. He was a former member of the Civil Air Patrol and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. Family members include his wife of 45 years, Elaine T. (Krysiak) Syseskey of Milford, NH; three sons, Kevin M. Syseskey and his wife, Jeanne M. of Fitchburg, MA, James H. Syseskey of Denver, CO and Paul J. Syseskey of Worcester, MA; a brother, Thomas Syseskey of Worcester, MA; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours are Sunday, July 12th from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monady at 10:00 am in St. John Neumann Church, 101A Pennichuck Square, 708 Milford Road, Merrimack, NH. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Lancaster, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Home, Health & Hospice Care, Community Hospice House, Attn: Development, 22 Prospect Street, Nashua, NH 03060.
