Helen R. Brackett

Helen R. (Foley) Brackett of Amherst, NH died peacefully on Tuesday, November 25th at her home.� � She was born in and raised in Newton, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Albert M. & Rose (Blakney) Foley.� She was the beloved and faithful wife of the late Thomas E. Brackett Sr.� Mrs. Brackett met her husband Thomas, during World War II where he served in the U.S. Army with her brother, James.� They married upon his return from the war and moved to Tewksbury, MA in 1954 where they raised their family.� She moved to Amherst, NH in 1984 where she has resided for the past 24 years and graduated from Southern New Hampshire University. She was retired from the Oblates of Mary Immaculate Infirmary in Tewksbury, MA where she worked as a nurse.� � She enjoyed spending time surrounded by her family and especially loved spending time at her family lake house in Maine.�� She will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones.� Mrs. Brackett was a faithful communicant of Saint Patrick Church, Milford, NH and was very active as a lector and Eucharistic minister.� She was predeceased by a brother, James Foley and a sister, Mary Vossberg.� Loving mother of Joan Crawford and her husband, William of Basel, Switzerland, James Brackett and his wife, Martha of Merrimack, NH, Albert Brackett and his fianc�e, Holly Moughan of Kingston, NH, Rosanna Bolduc and her husband, Timothy of Winter Park, FL, Maureen Campbell and her husband, Edward of Mont Vernon, NH, Thomas Brackett, Jr. and his wife, Cathy of Tyngsboro, MA, MaryAnn Reiss and her husband, Joseph of Tyngsboro, MA, Margaret Mahoney and her husband, Michael of Haverhill, MA, Gabrielle Dunphy and her husband, Sean of Deerfield, NH; sweet and kind grandmother to 29 grandchildren, William, Crosby, Christian, Dawn Marie, James, Lindsay, Sean, Mark, Seamus, Sean Patrick, Derek, Christopher, Megan, Erin, Kerin, Kelly, Mary, Rory, Caitlin, Kara, Julianna,� �Thomas, Sean Michael, Kaleigh, Kaela, Mairead and Seamus Patrick and the late Deirdre and Padraig; great grandmother to Emily, Tyler, Riley, Colin, Casey, Izabella, Teagan, Anna, Makayla, Marin, Lauren, Ella, Sophie, Grace and Brady; also survived by three sisters, Roseann McKeon of Hudson, NH, Alice Hanley of Wolfeboro, NH, June Collins of Bridgewater, MA; many nieces and nephews.� Calling hours are Friday, November 28th, from 3:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am in Saint Patrick Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH. Burial will follow in Saint Marys Cemetery, Tewksbury, MA.
