Harvey D. Halverson

Harvey D. Halverson, 80, resident of Milford, NH, died peacefully at home, surrounded by family on December 31, 2023. He is the beloved husband of MaryAnne Halverson of Milford, NH with whom he shared almost 60 years of marriage.

Harvey was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on March 2, 1943, a son of Harold S. and Norma (Cryder) Halverson. He was predeceased by his brother, Norman Hulett, and a grandson, Owen Halverson.

Family members include his loving wife, MaryAnne (Maglione) Halverson of Milford; a son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Hollie Halverson of Merrimack, NH; a daughter, Karen Edgerton of Candia, NH; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Harvey served in the United States Navy and was stationed in Charlestown, Ma, where he and MaryAnne met.

After serving in the military, Harvey worked in various positions for Lechmere Sales, culminating as a Vice President of the company. He then worked for the State of New Hampshire as Director of Warehousing and Transportation, and an office manager for Mass Mutual Insurance Company in Nashua, NH before he retired in 2002.

Harvey was known for his wit and sarcasm and was devoted and dedicated to the LOM Ledgewood of Milford Community for whom he served as Treasurer of the Board for many years. He was a jack of all trades, and he knew something about everything. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and extensive travel within the States. He also enjoyed cooking, entertaining and the company of family and friends.

Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284 or online at www.heart.org There will be a gathering of friends and family at the Ledgewood of Milford Club House (24 Gerry’s Way, Milford, NH) Friday, January 19th between the hours of 1 and 3 pm.
