Harriet I. Lemery, 88 years old, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, in her home, while surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on May 2, 1936 in North Brookfield, MA, she was one of three children of the late Clarence W. Boulette and Harriett I. Boulette. She attended local schools in North Brookfield, MA before moving with her family to Derry, NH in 1951 and graduating from Pinkerton Academy in 1954.

Harriet was the beloved wife of John W. "Jack" Lemery, Jr. They were married on June 25, 1955, and together they raised nine children and shared many loving years together until his passing in 1996. In addition to raising her children who she loved deeply, Harriet worked for Indian Head National Bank retiring at the age of 55 to spend more time with her family and travel with her husband.

Harriet was an active member and volunteer of the American Legion Auxiliary since her membership in 1986 where she held the following positions. District II Director 1993-1994, Field Service Director for Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation 2002-2003, Department Community Service Chairman 2003-2004, elected State Chaplain 2003-2004 and moved up the chairs to become Department NH Auxiliary President 2007-2008, National Executive Committee Woman 2008-2009, Department Past Presidents Parley 2009-2010, Auxiliary Emergency Fund Chairman 2010-2011, Department Americanism Chairman 2011-2012 and 2016-2017, Unit Historian 2013-2014, Poppy Chairman 2017-2018, and Unit Auxiliary President 2017-2022.

Nothing made Harriet happier than spending time with her family and celebrating the holidays with them in her home. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafting, puzzles, playing games, the beach, traveling, spending time with friends, and creating cherished memories at her vacation home in Maine.

Harriet was a very special daughter, wife, sister, mom, nana, and great nana. Her devotion to her family will be remembered by all who knew her.

Harriet is greatly missed, forever loved and remembered by her son, John W. Lemery, III and daughter-in-law, Terri Lemery, her son, Michael A. Lemery, her daughter, Karen L. Coffill, her son, Brian D. Lemery, and daughter-in-law, Karen Lemery, her daughter, Lisa A. Cote, and son-in-law, Christopher Cote, her daughter, Cheryl L. Adamowski, and son-in-law, Kevin Adamowski, her son, Barry J. Lemery, and daughter-in-law, Kelly Lemery, her daughter, Dawn E. Malave, and son-in-law, Carlos Malave, her 22 grandchildren, her 13 great grandchildren, her brother, Richard E. Boulette, nephew, great nephew and several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" W. Lemery, her son, Wade O. Lemery, her brother, Arthur Boulette, and her sister-in-law, Linda Boulette. 

Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary.
