Gracemary G. Hale

Gracemary G. Hale, 87, resident of Milford, NH, died unexpectedly on September 20, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH. She was born in Youngstown, OH on November 1, 1924, a daughter of Oscar F. and Rebecca (Fordyce) Gayton. Mrs. Hale resided with her son and daughter-in-law for the past year and formerly made her home in Bethel, CT for more than 60 years. While living in Connecticut, she had been employed as a bookkeeper for the Danbury New Times, Danbury, CT for many years. She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, knitting and working on jigsaw puzzles. Mrs. Hale was predeceased by her husband, Warren D. Hale; a step grandson, Anthony “Tony” Clark; a brother, George F. Gayton and a sister, Louise G. Coulson. Family members include three sons, F. Gayton Hale and his wife, Marian of Milford, NH, Aldren H. Hale and his wife, Nancy of Delta, CO and Dana W. Hale of Croton Falls, NY; seven grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a nephew and two nieces. Visiting hours are on Monday, September 24th from 4:00-6:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am in Wooster Cemetery, 20 Ellsworth Avenue, Danbury, CT.
