Gloria Wheeler died on November 1, 2021 at the Bedford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Bedford, NH where she had resided for several years. Gloria was born in Nashua, NH on June 14, 1937, a daughter of Ernest and Lucille (Lavoie) Tremblay. Gloria grew up in the French Hill section of Nashua and attended St. Francis Xavier School, graduating from Nashua High School. She first married John Mendoluski and was later married to her second husband , Mr. Wheeler. Gloria lived at 2 Lynch Farm Road in Amherst, NH for many years and had a massage therapy business in her home. Later in life she worked in nursing homes providing care. Her last job was at the Social Security office in Nashua doing clerical work under a Senior Employment Program. Gloria loved nature and enjoyed the simple things in life. She had many cat companions during her time on Lynch Farm Road. She belonged to a meditation group that met regularly. In addition, she was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Milford, NH. In 2015, when Gloria was no longer able to remain in her home, the 6.2 acre property was sold to the Town of Amherst with the stipulation that it to be used for conservation purposes. Gloria leaves two cousins in Canada, Monique Bellefeuille and Gee Detul and a dear friend in Milford, Joan Desclos, as well as former neighbors in Amherst, her friends from the meditation group, and other friends. A private graveside service was held in St. Patrick Cemetery, Amherst, NH on December 3, 2021. Smith & Heald Funeral Home in Milford, NH was in charge of the arrangements.
