Gloria J. Maguire

Gloria J. (Rosi) Maguire, 99, lifetime resident of Milford, NH, died on November 15, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Milford, NH on November 27, 1922, the daughter of Joseph and Susan (DeBernardi) Rosi. Gloria was raised and educated in Milford, having graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1940. She was a graduate of Carney Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1944.

Gloria had been employed as a school nurse for the Milford Elementary Schools for many years and had also served as a Director of the Pillsbury Home, Milford, NH. Gloria donated much of her time volunteering at the Crestwood Nursing Home and the Souhegan Nursing Association. She was loved by so many.

She was predeceased by her husband, Francis J. “Red” Maguire, who died in 1989.

Family members include her son, Timothy Maguire and his wife, Robin, of Jaffrey, NH; and daughter, Susan Maguire of Memphis, TN; and many bonus grandchildren.

There are no visiting hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 23rd at 10:00am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Processing Center, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394 or to the Home Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
