Gloria B. Edwards

Gloria B. Edwards, a longtime resident of Milford, NH, went to heaven on June 22, 2011, while residing at Greenbriar Terrace, Nashua. She was born in Malden, MA on April 6, 1927, a daughter of Adolf and Melvina Foryno. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by PVA, Wilton, NH. Mrs. Edwards was an avid reader, knitter and enjoyed teaching rug braiding at the N.H. Extension Service and singing in the Souhegan Valley Chorus. She attended the Church of Our Saviour, Milford, where she had taught Sunday school. Mrs. Edwards loved her family and many dear friends, was a kind, gentle and gracious woman whose warm and caring nature touched many lives. She was predeceased by two brothers, Vertold Foryno and Louis Foryno; and a sister, Helen Foryno. Family members include an older brother, Alfred Foryno of Malden, MA; three daughters, Leta Markham of Milford, NH, Eva Stevens of Orlando, FL and Patti Edwards of St. Johnsbury, VT; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 5th at 10:30 am in the First Congregational Church of Milford, UCC, 10 Union Street, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
