Glenn Adam Lavergne

He was a good man for whom Our Lord decided to call home on Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Yes. His name is Glenn Adam LaVergne but, everyone: family, co-workers and friends alike called him Adam. Adam was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH on February 22, 1962. He was the fourth son born to Juliette (Barriault) LaVergne and the late Jean R. LaVergne who died on July 6, 2004. Adam lived his entire life in Hollis, NH, having attended Kindergarten through to graduation with his High School Class of 1980. His years of study at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, afforded him the foundation for attaining, with highest honors, the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire. Presently, he was preparing to continue his studies in pursuit of earning his Master’s degree in Psychology. Adam’s work at Harbor Homes, Inc. was gratifying. He worked for many years giving his “All” to those in most need of help. When he came home from work, (weather permitting), Adam enjoyed unwinding while tending to his vegetable garden, which year after year became a model for many people who walked or drove their car by our home. Adam was an advocate of the Boy Scouts of America. He spent many years with Troop 12 of Hollis, hiking, back-packing and earning his patches and merit badges. Adam was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Milford, NH since 1967. He also, occasionally, attended Mass at St. John Neumann Church in South Merrimack, NH. Adam was predeceased by his brother David who died August 7, 1996. In addition to his mother, family members include three brothers, Joey, Mark and Philip, an aunt, Irene (Mrs. John Duffy) of Forest Hills, NY; and many cousins. Adam was a friend of all and an enemy of none. Thank you Lord for letting us be with him for forty-nine plus years. Calling hours are on Friday, October 7th from 7:00-9:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Nashua.
