Georgianna �Georgie� Simoneau, 92, lifelong resident of Milford, NH, died November 13, 2009 at Crestwood Care & Rehabilitation Center, Milford. She was born in Milford, NH on December 23, 1916, a daughter of the late George & Angelina (Bianchi) Calderara. A graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1934, she served on many class reunions. She was instrumental in preparing booklets for the 25th and 50th class reunions. She was active in planning reunions from the 20th to the present time and had served as Secretary and Treasurer in the absence of officers who had moved out of town. For 32 years, Mrs. Simoneau was employed for the Hillsborough County Commissioners Office in Milford and also served as Overseer of the Poor for several years. She was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church serving as membership secretary for many years and on the administrative board. In addition, she was a member of long standing with the Helping Hands of the Church, serving as secretary and was also a member of the Harley Sanford Post #4368 VFW Auxiliary, Milford. Mrs. Simoneau was an avid bowler starting at the alleys on Elm Street that later housed Fletcher�s Paint Shop and later at the Bowlmor Lanes for many years. In her later years, she also enjoyed golf. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter J. Simoneau, who died in May 2003. Family members include Wilfred and Betty Simoneau of Florida, Betty Simoneau of Manchester, NH, Millie Simoneau of Wilton, NH; many nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 16th at 1:30 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
