George Frederick Heney Sr.

George Fredrick Heney Sr. of Amherst, NH, passed away on December 12th, 2015 at the age of 73. He was born in Brighton, MA on November 22, 1942 to Deeb & Florence Heney. George graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Finance and Insurance in 1965. After graduating, George worked for Slawsby Insurance Company. In 1981, he started Southern New Hampshire Investigations where he worked as CEO and president along with his wife, Lisa, until his retirement in 2005. George was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his yard and raising horses. He was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather who most especially loved spending time with family and friends. George is survived by his wife, Lisa K Heney, his daughter Lisa Dipietrantonio and her husband Antonio of Merrimack, NH; his son George Heney Jr. and his wife, Laura of Milford, NH; his step-son Matthew Lynch and his wife Kenli of Midlothian, TX; and step-daughter Brady Lynch of New York City. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Alyssa, Dayna, Antonio, Konner, Karter, Kohen and Hailey and Jordan, and his niece Leslie Ceresi, and nephew, Mark Kangas along with great nieces and nephews, Matthew & Lauren Kangas, and Olivia and Austin Ceresi, and his beloved dog Hannah. At George’s request, we will be celebrating his life on December 17th at the home of Lisa and Antonio Dipietrantonio from 3-6 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley in his name. An additional “celebration of George” will be held in the spring 2016 at a date to be determined.
