Geoffrey M. Bidwell

On Monday August 24th Geoffrey Bidwell passed away suddenly at the age of 49. Although he left us too soon, he will live on in our hearts. Geoff spent time in the Navy and loved his volunteer work at the local animal shelter. He fondly remembered the time he helped build lasers at Coherent. However, what he will be most remembered by is his wonderful sense of humor and his kind and gentle nature. Geoff made everyone who knew him laugh. He particularly enjoyed life’s ironies and occasional practical jokes. He was a sensitive soul who cared deeply for those he loved and all animals, great and small. He was one of the lucky ones to have found his soulmate and perfect match in his wife, Alina. Geoff will be sadly missed by his wife—Alina, his parents—Pam and Gus, his sister—Penney, niece—Paloma, nephew—Adrian, Aunt Birdie, Uncle Paul, cousins—Dana and Robin, and many friends. The family will hold a private ceremony to commemorate his life.
