Gary R. Wisausky, 68, resident of Milford, NH died suddenly on January 27, 2012, at Saint Joseph Hospital, Nashua, NH. He was born in Waterbury, CT on April 30, 1943, a son of the late Vincent “King” and Helen (Selfors) Wisausky. Gary grew up in Oakville, CT and graduated from Watertown High School, Class of 1961. He was an avid golfer in the community and a gifted handyman and learned his carpentry talents from his late father, King. He loved dogs, especially his dog Mandy. He was known to bring home a new puppy, car or another huge surprise for his parents. Following graduation, Gary entered the U.S. Air Force and spent time in Frankfurt, Germany. Upon his completion of his four year active duty, he worked for NSA in Maryland where he made his home with his late wife, Anne D. (Drainville) Wisausky. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland. He resided in Nashua for more than 20 years and later moved to Milford. Gary had been employed as a systems engineer for BAE Systems in Hudson, NH for more than 25 years, having retired this past September. Gary was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating, skiing, motorcycles and most especially golfing. He loved New England, the snow and the time he spent with his wife at their lake house at Squam Lake. He lived his life not only to its fullest, but every minute of it. He will be enormously missed by all who knew him and befriended him. Family members include his wife of 12 years, Madeleine T. “Maddy” (Poulin) Wisausky of Milford, NH; two stepsons, Corey and Shalisha Bowman of Manchester, NH, Matthew Bowman of Las Vegas, NV; two grandchildren, Parker and Paxton Bowman of Manchester, NH; a sister, Elaine Senten of Goffstown, NH; sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-law, Dorothy Drainville of Waterbury, CT, Michael and Carole Poulin of Merrimack, NH, Robert Poulin of Ashburnham, MA and Roger Poulin of Pepperell, MA; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours are Monday, January 30th from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Milford United Methodist Church, 327 North River Road, Milford, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall Street, Manchester, NH 03101. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Heald Funeral Home, Milford.
