Gabrielle M. Gibbons

Gabrielle M. “Gaby” Gibbons, 87, resident of Manchester, NH died on April 22, 2013 at her home. She was born in Nashua, NH on May 30, 1925, a daughter of Jacob and Laura (Gabrielle) Arel. She was a longtime resident of Wilton, NH and had also lived in Port Richey, Florida for many years. Mrs. Gibbons was a member of Bent Burke Post #10, American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, Wilton, NH. She was devoted to her family and cherished spending time with them. She was loved by all who knew her and will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched. Mrs. Gibbons was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Wilton for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul J. Gibbons, Sr., a son, Richard D. Haggerty, a daughter, Maureen Smith and a sister, Pauline Gagnon. Family members include three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Mary Haggerty of Greenfield, NH, Peter Pelletier of Milford, NH and Paul J. Gibbons, Jr. and Lisa Gibbons of Wilton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Roberta Taylor of Port Richey, FL, Debra and Dan Gagnon of Manchester, NH, Patricia and Jorge Alicea of Greenfield, NH and Kelsey Gibbons; 22 Grandchildren; 35 Great Grandchildren; several Great-Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are on Friday, April 26th from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 am in St. Patrick Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wilton. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
