Freda L. Barksdale Pitts

Freda L Barksdale Pitts, 69, died after a three-year struggle with cancer on Friday, August 5, 2016, in Nashua, NH. She was born on March 25, 1947, in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late Wardell Barksdale, Sr. and Mary Hayes and was the oldest of ten children. Freda worked as a CNA for several nursing homes before retiring from Fairhaven Nursing Home in Lowell, MA. She had special friends who helped her during her battle with cancer and always visited her, Janie Robinson, Becka Brown, Martha Johnson, Elder Pires, Robin Hood, Susan Barksdale and her hairstylist, Rhonda. Special Thanks to the Community Hospice House of Merrimack, NH for their heartfelt care and kindness for my mom. Freda loved going to church and praising God. She was predeceased by her grandson, Anthony W Barksdale II who passed on March 2, 2013. Family members include one son, Anthony W. Barksdale I of Nashua, NH; a granddaughter, Alisa Faye of Mont Vernon, NH; three sisters, Regina Barksdale, Sharon Barksdale and Deborah Barksdale; a sister-in-law, Sharon Barksdale; three brothers, Deacon Wardell Barksdale Jr., Bryant Barksdale and Marvin Barksdale, all of Baltimore, MD; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services are private.
