Frank H. Bauerschmidt

Frank H. “Bubba” Bauerschmidt, died July 23rd, 2010 at the Milford Medical Center, Milford, NH. He was born in Ozone Park, NY on August 4th, 1932, the son of Frederick and Caroline (Waldbusser) Bauerschmidt. Mr. Bauerschmidt earned his Bachelors and Master’s degree in Taxation, from Pace University. He was a resident of Amherst, NH for the past 19 years and formally resided in Long Island, NY. He had been employed as a Tax Partner for A.M. Pullen & CO and McGladrey & Pullen in New York for 25 years. Following his retirement, he worked as a tax consultant for a Chicago Real Estate Development Company. Mr. Bauerschmidt was a member of the NYS Society of CPA’s, American Institute of CPA’s, and the Tax and Estate Planning Council of Long Island. He authored a number of articles on taxes, and was a lecturer and speaker for numerous tax seminars. He was an active member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, Amherst and served as Treasurer for the Church Council. He was a US Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Frank enjoyed playing golf, especially at Sunny Hill Resort in the Catskill Mountains, where he vacationed for over 60 years. His passion was baseball, and he grew up rooting for the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Mets. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching Fox News. He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan M. (Hildebrandt) Bauerschmidt, who died in 2008. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne & Raymond Theil of Amherst, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, Frank J. & Wendy Bauerschmidt of Milford, NH; three grandsons, Raymond, Ryan and Gregory; and a step-granddaughter; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charlotte and William Hildebrandt of Syosset, NY and Judy & Robert Hildebrandt of Colorado Springs, CO, several nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours are Wednesday evening, July 28, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 pm in the Messiah Lutheran Church, 303 Route 101 (next to the Amherst flower shop), Amherst, NH. A Celebration of his life with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, July 29th, 2010 at 4:30 pm in the church, followed by a reception.
