Francis J. "Manny" Thompson

Francis Joseph Thompson “Manny”, 76, of Milford, NH passed away peacefully on the morning of October 13th, 2018. Manny was born on May 9, 1942 in York, ME; the son of the late Leighton and Edna (Fontaine) Thompson. Manny leaves behind his wife of 56 years Carole (Cabana) Thompson, his son Mark Thompson and his wife Nancy, of Greenfield, NH; his daughter Sharon Fuller, of Milford, NH; his daughter Shelly White and her husband Jason, of Knoxville, TN, and his son Bradley Thompson and his wife Katherine, of Greenfield, NH. Manny also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters. Manny was a Veteran and former Seabee in the U.S. Navy, as well as a former commercial fisherman, but for the last 40+ years he was the founder and co-owner with his sons of Thompson’s Flooring Company located in Milford, NH. Manny is predeceased by his brothers Robert and Rodney and his sisters Emma, Joanne, Almina, he is survived by his brothers Alfred and Richard, and his sister Mary. Manny was a man with a strong faith who walked with God daily; he was looking forward to meeting the Lord. He always had a joke, kind word, and a smile for anyone who crossed his path. He will be greatly missed by his family but they take comfort knowing he is with the God he served. “When the Spirit of God opens the eyes of my heart all I see is perfection and eternity!” Visiting hours are on Wednesday, October 17th from 6:00-8:00 pm at The Village Bible Church, 25 1/2 Middle Street, Amherst, NH 03031. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 18th at 10:00 am in the church.
