Frances E Pierce, 81, resided at Bedford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford, NH, passed away on March 29, 2021. Born in Merrimack, NH on December 11, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Bessie (Shattuck) Newman. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Staci Therrien; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Mark Haverfield; three grandchildren, Brandon and Kayla Haverfield, and Kevin Therrien, all of Milford, NH; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Charlotte Newman of Port Charlotte, Florida; a sister-in-law, Mary Newman of Westfield, New Jersey; and a brother-in-law, Bruce Kelwick of Vinal Haven, Maine; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Gloria Kelwick; a brother, Robert Newman Jr.; and her husbands, Patrick Kirby and Harlan (Ed) Pierce. Frances made her home in Milford, New Hampshire for the past 20 years. She was a member of the Church of Our Saviour, Nashua Senior Center, James E Coffey Post#3, American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed going to Foxwoods Casino, scratch tickets, and Bingo. She loved watching her game shows, especially Jeopardy. A walkthrough visitation will be on Friday, April 2nd from 5:00pm- 8:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 3rd at 10:00am in Riverside Cemetery, 454 Nashua Street, Milford. Those attending are asked to adhere to current guidelines by wearing a mask and observing social distancing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fran’s memory to Bedford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at 480 Donald Street, Bedford, NH 03110.
