Flora Longa Leclerc

Flora Longa LeClerc, 97, resident of Nashua, NH died on February 6, 2013 at Aynsley Place, Nashua, NH, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Merrimack, NH on October 5, 1915, the daughter of Edward K. and Annie “Nancy” (Bartlett) Longa. She graduated from Keene Normal School and made her home in the Hudson and Nashua area for most of her life. Flora was an elementary school teacher for many years and had taught in Claremont, Charlestown and Hudson, NH. She and her first husband, Roy G. Griffin, owned and operated Banner Photo Studio, Nashua, NH. She enjoyed music, playing the piano, reading, sewing, gardening, crafts and photography. In addition, Flora loved to travel and spent many winters in Florida. Flora was a member of the Soroptimist Club of Nashua and the New Hampshire & New England Photography Club. She was predeceased by her first husband, Roy G. Griffin and her second husband, Omer (Dick) LeClerc and his sons, Mac and Duke; her two brothers and their wives,James and Gertrude Longa,Arthur and Evelyn Longa; her nephew, Tobin Longa; and her niece, Marilyn Johnson. Family members include two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Robert Bickford of Tolland, CT, Cynthia and William Yuknewicz of Amherst, NH; her step-daughter, Jan LeClerc and her son, Michael of Boca Raton, FL; five grandchildren and their spouses, Kelley and Russell Greenwald, Heidi Bickford, Deborah and Greg Boisvert, Stephen Yuknewicz, Paul and Olivia Yuknewicz; three great grandchildren, Paxton and Kendall Boisvert, and Avery Yuknewicz. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and their spouses, Deborah and George (Chip) Keller, Jack and Jean Longa, Robin and Gerold Galleher, Nancy and Laverne Haas, and Bill Johnson. A visiting hour will be held on Monday, February 11th from 1:00-2:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, followed by her funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Corser Hill Cemetery, Webster, NH in the spring.
