Fay V. Parratt

Fay V. Parratt, 76, resident of Lyndeborough, NH, died on November 26, 2015 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, NH. She was born in London, England on May 9, 1939, a daughter of Marcel G. and Ivy (Malin) Townsend. She was raised and educated in England and emigrated to the United States in 1977, making her home in Lyndeborough for the past 38 years. Mrs. Parratt and her late husband, Jim, owned and operated J & F Auto Body in Lyndeborough for more than 30 years. She enjoyed knitting, reading, letter writing and getting together with her friends. Mrs. Parratt was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. She and her late husband fostered many teenage boys over the years. She was predeceased by her husband, James W. Parratt, who died in 2013. Family members include two daughters and a son-in-law, Christine and Shaun Howe of Peterborough, NH, Jane Hanlon of Lyndeborough, NH; three sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Cathy Parratt of Petaluma, CA, Tho and Sarath Nguyen, Seng and Sophi Leoung, all of Milford, NH; ten grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Dylan, Nicholas, Adam, Jake, Sean, Madison, Dominic and Alex; a great granddaughter, Olivia; a brother, Harry Townsend and a sister, Beryl Townsend, both of London, England; a niece and a nephew. Memorial visiting hours are on Saturday, December 19th from 1:00-3:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Wilton, NH at a later date.
