Eric J. Betty

Eric J. Betty, 51, resident of Milford, died September 10, 2011 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Haverhill, MA on April 6, 1960, a son of George C. and Jeannette (Boulanger) Betty. Eric was raised and educated in Haverhill and graduated from Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School, Haverhill, MA. He made his home in Milford for more than 20 years. Eric had been employed by Subaru of Milford for more than 10 years as an auto technician and later as shop foreman. He enjoyed coaching Little League for the MCAA and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. In addition, he loved learning fly fishing with his wife and her family in Pittsburg, NH. He was predeceased by his son, Alexander Betty; and a brother, Thomas Betty. Family members include his loving wife, Kristin L. (Aylward) Betty of Milford; two sisters, Carla L. Taylor of Haverhill, MA and Brenda Dubois of Georgetown, MA; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Rob Taylor of Haverhill, MA; a stepson, Eric LaFleche of Portsmouth, NH; brothers-in-law, C. Douglas Aylward of Hampton, NH, Wayne Aylward of Beaverton, OR and Lewis Aylward of Newmarket, NH; one grandnephew, C.J. Aylward; an uncle, Vaughn Betty of San Francisco, CA; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Doris and Carl Aylward of Raymond, NH; and his beloved yellow lab, Damon. Visiting hours are Thursday, September 15th from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, followed by a Service of Remembrance at 8:00 pm.
