Elizabeth M. Robinson

Elizabeth (Libby) M. Leknes Robinson, 96, resident of Milford, NH, died on September 18, 2021 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. She was born in East Glastonbury, CT on December 13, 1924, a daughter of Clarence and Cora (Lingner) Van Slyke. Libby was raised and educated in Connecticut and graduated from Glastonbury High School. Libby made her home in Trumbull, CT for many years, moving to Tampa, FL in 1988, and later to Ocala, FL. She resided in Florida until 2015, when she moved to Milford, NH to be closer to her family. While living in Connecticut, Libby had been employed as an executive secretary at Chesbrough-Pond’s in Trumbull, CT. She was a former member of Quota International Club, Bridgeport, CT and a member of DAR – Daughters of the American Revolution. Libby was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church, Ocala, FL. In Ocala, Libby enjoyed many social clubs including the Norwegian Club, the Republican Club, and the Computer Club. In addition, she was a wonderful seamstress and had a great interest in genealogy. She was predeceased by her husbands, Arthur W. Leknes and Charles Robinson; and a brother, Clifford H. Eccleston. Family members include her son and daughter-in-law, Arthur W. Leknes, Jr. and Vicky Leknes of Amherst, NH; a daughter, Catherine Argilagos of Milford, NH; two grandchildren and their spouses, Eric Leknes and Meagan Comstock of Amherst, NH, and Brittany Leknes and Timothy Kokotovich of Panama City, Panama; three great grandchildren, Elliott, Nora and Ada. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 1st at 2:00 pm in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield, CT. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Community Hospice House, c/o Home, Health and Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
