Elizabeth A. Costa

Elizabeth A. Costa, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died October 28, 2010 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Salem, MA, a daughter of the late Edward and Hazel (Wilson) Cronin. She was raised and educated in Salem and graduated from St. Chretienne Academy. She earned her nursing degree from Massachusetts General Hospital, School of Nursing, Boston, MA. Following graduation, she had been employed as an orthopedic nurse, head nurse and later as a nursing supervisor at Mass General. For the past 20 years, she had been associated with the Milford Middle School and most recently as a full time tutor. Mrs. Costa enjoyed gardening, shopping and dining out. In addition, she loved politics and considered herself a staunch conservative. She was predeceased by a son, Christopher M. Costa and a brother, Edward B. Cronin, Jr. Family members include her husband of 49 years, Frank L. Costa of Milford, NH; a daughter, Andrea L. Breton and her husband, Tim Huckaby of Englewood, CO; a son, Gregory J. Costa of Milford; two grandchildren, Amber M. Costa of Irvine, CA, Abigail Huckaby of Englewood, CO; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Sunday, October 31st from 1:00-3:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Funeral services are private. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.
