Edith E. Darling

Edith E. Darling, 79, resident of Meredith, NH died August 6, 2008 at Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, NH.� She was born in Milford, NH on January 6, 1929, daughter of the late Frank & Helen (Wright) Conley.� Edie was raised and educated in Milford and graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1947 and became a lifelong learner.� She lived in Spofford, NH for many years and later returned to the Milford/Nashua area before settling in Meredith, NH 8 years ago.� She devoted her life to children and worked as a librarian.� Starting in the early 1960s, Edie became involved in Christian Education and served as Director of Christian education at the Main Street United Methodist Church in Nashua for over 20 years and the Methodist Conference as a teacher/trainer throughout the Northeast for over 40 years.� For many years, she and her husband were co-administrators of Wanakee Methodist Center, Meredith, NH.� Edies greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.� Family members include her husband of 60 years, Wesley E. Darling of Meredith, NH; a son, Edward Darling and wife, Lou Ann of Laconia, NH; a daughter, Mary Darling and partner, Tim Guiggey of Hallowell, ME; 6 Grandchildren, Daniel Darling and fianc�e, Stacey, Eian Darling, Jonathan Farr and wife, Bethanie, Adam Farr and wife, Rachel, Joshua Farr and wife, Donna, Rebecca Fredette and husband, Jonathan; 9 Great Grandchildren; a brother, Edward Conley of CT; 3 nieces & a nephew.������� There will be no calling hours.� A family graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 10:30 am in Riverside Cemetery, Nashua Street, Milford, NH.� All are welcome to attend the memorial service at 2:00 pm in the Milford United Methodist Church, 327 North River Road, Milford, NH.� Memorial donations in her memory may be made to WLNH Childrens Auction, P.O.
