Edgar J. Comeau Sr.

Edgar J. Comeau Sr., 89, resident of Greenville, NH died on December 25, 2017 at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, NH. He was born in Plymouth, NH on June 17, 1928, a son of Andrew and Lena (Foss) Comeau. Mr. Comeau was raised and educated in Ashland, NH and made his home in Greenville, NH for more than 40 years. He joined the Navy in 1948 and served during the Korean and Vietnam War and retired from the Navy in 1969. He was later employed at Hitchiner Mfg. Company in Milford, NH. Mr. Comeau was a member of the LeClair Caron Pelletier American Legion Post # 13, Greenville, NH and the Fleet Reserve Association. In addition, he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was predeceased by a son, James M. Comeau. Family members include his beloved wife of 63 years, Thomasina (Reid) Comeau of Greenville, NH; eight children, Michele Comeau, Paul Comeau and Matthew Comeau, all of Greenville NH, Thomasina Comeau of Ashburnham, MA, Guy Comeau of Mont Vernon, NH, Edgar Comeau Jr. of Hillsborough, NH, Andrew Comeau of Littleton, NH and Edward Comeau of Whitefield, NH; 68 grandchildren and 59 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. There are no services. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Greenville, NH at a later date.
