Earlene A. Calabro

Earlene A. Calabro, 78, lifelong resident of Amherst, NH died on May 9, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH. She was born in Nashua, NH on October 3, 1936, a daughter of Earl and Margaret (Noyes) Dow. Mrs. Calabro had been employed as a quality control engineer for Vaupell, Inc., Hudson, NH and Teradyne, Inc., Nashua, NH for a combined 30 years. She served her community as a member of the Amherst EMS for 29 years and was a longtime member of the New Hampshire Association of EMT’s. In addition, she was active with the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Mrs. Calabro was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Milford. She was predeceased by two brothers, Harold Dow and Gary Gendron. Family members include her husband with whom she would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on August 2nd, Ronald A. Calabro of Amherst; a son, Ronald A. Calabro, Jr. and his wife, Danielle of Lancaster, SC; three daughters, Cynthia Donovan and her partner, Steven Laterza, Kathleen and Gary Zirpolo, all of Milford, Gail and Douglas Philbrick of Woodstock, GA; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Marlene Forrence of Hudson, NH. Calling hours are on Tuesday, May 12th from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Entombment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Nashua.
