Dorothy T. Haight, 94, longtime resident of Brookline, NH, died on December 6, 2017 at Ridgewood Center, Bedford, NH. She was born in Boston, MA on March 2, 1923, a daughter of Jes H. and Elsabeth (Skov) Terp. She was raised and educated in the Boston area and graduated from Boston Latin High School. Dorothy made her home in Brookline in 1958 where she was active in gardening, sewing, knitting, cooking and rug braiding. She had been employed as a secretary for SAU #41 and had also worked in the Brookline Library, Milford High School Library and Manpower in Nashua, NH. Dorothy was very active in the Brookline Community Church where she held many positions including moderator, trustee, assistant treasurer, craft fair co-chairman and secretary, and was a member of the choir with her husband for over 40 years. She was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother and great grandmother whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family. During the 1960s she was also active in the 4-H Program as a cookie sales coordinator and sewing instructor. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Alan Randolph Haight, who died in 2001. Family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Randolph A. and Karen Haight, Russell M. and Susan Haight, all of Brookline; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Kristine A. McPhee of Epping, NH, Karolyn J. Ehrenpreis and Paul Perch of FL, Susan E. and Thomas Daly of Westwood, MA and Lisa J. Haight of Brookline; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Harry Terp of South Dennis, MA; many nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on January 13, 2018 at Noon in the Brookline Community Church, 2 Main Street, Brookline, NH. Donations in her memory may be made to the Brookline Community Church and Hill Memorial Baptist Church, 276 North Harvard Street, Allston, MA.
