Dorothy R. Halliday

Dorothy R. Halliday, 83, resident of Milford, NH, died on November 27, 2012 at Crestwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Milford. She was born in San Antonio, TX on January 11, 1929, a daughter of Augustus F. and Sarah R. (Price) Chapman. Mrs. Halliday resided in Milford for a short time and formerly lived in Merrimack, NH for 15 years and Whitesboro, NY for many years. She enjoyed embroidering and rug hooking. She took great pride in her beautiful flower gardens but everyone that knew her, knew that the kitchen was her domain as she loved cooking. Mrs. Halliday was predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Halliday who died on March 25, 2012. Family members include a son, Raymond Halliday of San Francisco, CA; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Daniel Smith of Merrimack, NH; two grandchildren, Alicia Bolling and Mandy Smith; a sister, Betty Spear of Dallas, TX, two brothers, Jesse Chapman and his wife, Nita of New Braunfels, TX, George Chapman of San Antonio, TX; many nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 30th at 10:00 am in Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to American Parkinson Disease Association, NH Chapter, P.O. Box 183, Londonderry, NH 03053.
