Dorothy E. Macnutt

Dorothy E. “Dot” MacNutt, 76, resident of Milford, died on March 29, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Yarmouth, Maine on March 22, 1938, a daughter of George and Greta (Robbins) Gray. Dot made her home in Milford since 1966 and had been employed as a machine operator for Burbak Company and Hitchiner Manufacturing Company. She enjoyed word search puzzles and playing yahtzee. She was an avid bowler and belonged to several leagues at Bowlmor Lanes in Milford for more than 30 years. Dot reconnected with her childhood sweetheart, Alan, 18 years ago and spent the next 17 years happily married. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was the center of her life and she loved spending time with them. Family members include her husband, Alan R. MacNutt of Milford; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Michael Sarao of Milford, Pam and Mark Methe of Fitzwilliam, NH, Kathy and George Friscia of Nashua, NH; a stepson, Alan R. MacNutt, Jr. of Taunton, MA; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Debbie Gray of Jefferson, NH; a sister, Sandy Gray of TN; several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are on Tuesday, April 1st from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Share Outreach, Inc., 1 Columbus Avenue, Milford, NH 03055.
